Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass Band was originally called the Norwich Lads Club Band – one of our current players joined them in 1952 as a teenager!
In the late 1970s, the Norwich Lads Club Band then became Sprowston Band. It remained Sprowston Band until 2004 when it merged with the Enterprise Band, which rehearsed at Hellesdon Community Centre – therefore becoming Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass Band.
