Welcome to Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass Band
We are a friendly, community based, non-contesting brass band in Norwich, Norfolk, UK.
We rehearse every Tuesday between 7:30pm and 9:30pm at St Paul’s Church, Hellesdon, NR6 6LD.
New members are always incredibly welcome, so if you would like to join us for a rehearsal, we would love to see you! Please contact us if you have any questions or just to let us know you’ll be popping by.

About the Band
Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass Band was originally called the Norwich Lads Club Band, with of our current players having joined them in 1952 as a teenager!
In the late 1970s, the Norwich Lads Club Band then became Sprowston Band, remaing so until 2004 when it merged with the Enterprise Band, which rehearsed at Hellesdon Community Centre – therefore becoming Hellesdon and Sprowston Brass Band.
Today, we perform at bandstands, holiday parks, fetes, birthdays, church services, markets and concerts all around Norwich and Norfolk.
In June 2025 we teamed up with Norfolk Wherry Brass to perform together at events across the summer and are looking forward to what the future holds for both bands!
